Final Project Instructions

Planning an Epic Journey
For your final project, you will plan an adventurous expedition that will take you to a variety of fascinating destinations. This project will combine research and writing with self-exploration. You will research 4 destinations in total. The parameters are as follows:

1 must be in the US and must hold historical significance (i.e., The Alamo; Selma, Alabama; the Washington Mall; Little Italy (in NYC); Ellis Island, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Golden Gate Bridge, etc...)
1 must be in the US and must hold personal significance (i.e., be related to family roots or a personal interest)
1 must be outside of the US (global) and must hold historical significance (e.g., The Coliseum in Rome; The Great Wall of China; Machu Picchu in Peru, etc...)
1 must be outside of the US and must hold personal significance (i.e., be related to family roots or a personal interest).

Historical Location: U.S.
Directions:

A.) How would I get to this location? (plane; train; automobile). How long would it take me to get there?
B.) Why is this place historically significant? What happened there? When did it happen? Why was it important?
C.) What would I see and do at this place?
D.) Find a website that contains a functional document related to this place. This could be a map, a tour schedule, a train/subway map of the area, or a chart of airline prices to the area. On your post, include a link to this document and tell me what you have learned by looking at the document.
